DTF Town helps creators, apparel brands and print shops order custom transfers without managing film, ink, powder or curing equipment. You send the artwork; we print the transfer; you press it. The result is a practical way to produce one design, a mixed gang sheet or repeat artwork for ongoing orders.

What Can We Print?

DTF printing supports full-color artwork, gradients and detailed graphics without separate screens for every color. Common jobs include business logos, team graphics, event merchandise, creator drops, personalization elements and small-batch apparel collections.

Good candidates: High-resolution logos, illustrated graphics, multicolor artwork, names and numbers, short-run designs, left-chest marks and mixed-size production sets.
Files that may need attention: Low-resolution images, visible backgrounds, very thin lines, tiny isolated details, semi-transparent effects or artwork supplied at the wrong final size.

How Custom DTF Printing Works

Choose an order path: Select by-size, builder or print-ready upload.
Submit final artwork: Confirm the dimensions, quantity and background before checkout.
We print and inspect: Your approved file moves through printing, powder, curing and quality review.
Press the transfer: Receive or pick up the order, follow the press instructions, then peel as directed.

Important: Our file review is a courtesy check for obvious print issues. It is not a design proof and does not include redesign, spelling correction or trademark clearance. Artwork, spelling and usage rights remain the customer's responsibility.

Made for Cotton, Polyester and Popular Blends

DTF transfers are commonly used on cotton, polyester and cotton-poly blends. For standard DTF, press at 310°F / 155°C for 12–15 seconds with medium pressure, peel after about 5 seconds, then complete a 5–10 second second press. For nylon, heat-sensitive polyester or unusual coatings, contact us before pressing.

Before pressing: Check the garment care label, pre-press for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles, place the design at the final location, and confirm that the press has even pressure.
After pressing: Wait at least 24 hours before the first wash, then wash inside out in cold water.

Prepare Artwork for a Cleaner Print

Export artwork with a transparent background unless the background is intentionally part of the design.
Set the file to the final print dimensions; do not rely on the printer to guess the intended size.
Use a high-resolution source. A 300 DPI target at final size is preferred for raster artwork.
Convert or embed fonts when required and inspect small text at the intended physical size.
Avoid unintended semi-transparent pixels, stray marks and extremely fine isolated details.
Use accepted file types: PNG or PDF.

Production Time, Shipping and Pickup Are Different

Production time begins after payment and after any required artwork issue is resolved. Carrier handoff is the date the completed order leaves DTF Town. Transit time is controlled by the shipping method and carrier. Pickup readiness begins only after the selected location sends a ready notification.

Standard production: Most orders are produced within about 2 hours and handed to the carrier the same business day. Very large or unusually complex orders may take longer.
Local pickup: Pick up at any of our seven locations: Orlando, Tampa, New Orleans (Metairie), Houston, Austin, Fairfax and Nashville. Store hours: Mon–Fri 10am–6pm, Sat 10am–3pm, Sun closed.

DTF Printing FAQs

What is custom DTF printing? Custom DTF printing turns your digital artwork into a transfer that can be applied to a compatible garment with a heat press. DTF Town supplies the printed transfer; the customer applies it unless a separate finished-apparel service is selected.

Is there a minimum order? No. You can order a single transfer or a full production run.

Should I order by size or use a gang sheet? Order by size when each design should be priced and supplied individually. Use a gang sheet when you want to arrange multiple graphics on a shared sheet and control the layout.

Can DTF transfers go on dark shirts? Yes. DTF transfers are commonly used on light and dark compatible garments. Always follow the current press instructions and test the exact garment when color, coating or heat sensitivity is uncertain.

Will the printed color exactly match my screen? Not always. Screens emit light and printed colors are produced with ink on film, so colors and final print results may vary slightly due to material and display differences.

Do you fix artwork before printing? We check files for obvious print issues, but we do not redesign, correct spelling or recreate artwork. Please submit final, print-ready files.

How fast will my order arrive? Most orders are produced within about 2 hours and shipped the same business day; delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose. Same-day production or carrier handoff does not mean same-day delivery. Local pickup is available at all seven locations.

What files do you accept? PNG and PDF. For best results, use a transparent background and 300 DPI at the final print size.
