• What is a DTF transfer?

  A DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfer is a full-color design printed onto a special PET film using DTF ink and coated with hot-melt adhesive powder. Once printed, the transfer is heat-pressed onto fabric — including cotton, polyester, nylon, and blends — producing a vibrant, durable, and flexible print that resists cracking, peeling, and fading through numerous wash cycles.

• What fabrics can I use DTF transfers on?

  DTF transfers work on virtually any fabric type: cotton, polyester, cotton-poly blends, nylon, leather, denim, canvas, and more. They can also be applied to both light and dark garments without needing separate processes, making them one of the most versatile printing methods available.

• What is the difference between DTF and UV DTF transfers?

  Standard DTF transfers are designed for fabric and require a heat press for application. UV DTF transfers use UV-cured inks and are designed for hard surfaces like tumblers, phone cases, mugs, wood, glass, and metal. UV DTF transfers typically come as a peel-and-stick decal and do not require heat for application.

• Do you have a minimum order quantity?

  No! DTF Town has no minimum order requirement. You can order a single transfer or thousands — whatever your project demands. This makes us ideal for small businesses testing new designs, one-off custom projects, or large-scale production runs.

• How do I apply a DTF transfer?

  Pre-press your garment for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture. Place the transfer face-down on the garment. Heat press at 300-325°F (150-163°C) for 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure. Peel the film while warm (hot peel) or after cooling (cold peel), depending on the transfer type. Re-press for 5 seconds with parchment paper for maximum durability.

• How long does shipping take?

  Most orders are produced and shipped within 1-3 business days. Standard shipping typically arrives in 3-5 business days. With fulfillment centers in Virginia, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida, we reach most US addresses quickly. Expedited and rush shipping options are also available at checkout.

• What is a gang sheet?

  A gang sheet is a single transfer sheet containing multiple designs arranged together to maximize the print area. Instead of ordering individual transfers, you fill an entire sheet (sizes like 22\"x24\", 22\"x48\", and more) with different designs or multiples of the same design. Gang sheets are the most cost-effective way to order DTF transfers.

• Can I upload my own designs?

  Absolutely! You can upload your own artwork in PNG format with a transparent background for best results. Our system accepts files during the ordering process. If your file needs adjustments, our production team will optimize it for the best print quality at no extra charge.

• Are DTF transfers washer and dryer safe?

  Yes. When applied correctly, DTF transfers withstand 50+ wash cycles without significant cracking, peeling, or color loss. Wash garments inside-out on a cold or warm cycle and tumble dry on low heat. Avoid bleach and ironing directly over the transfer.
